OUR CURRICULUM
The curriculum we use is the “Kurikulum Merdeka” which is currently in effect in Indonesia, namely an independent curriculum which means giving space to students at the preschool level to grow and develop according to their age, learning is flexible and prioritizes children being able to know their personalities and ensuring children’s readiness to receive learning through exercise of the heart, thoughts, feelings, and sports with learning that is fun and not burdensome.
Kejora also has a collaboration with Kristi from SEED LEARNING GARDEN to develop learning methods that can be combined with the curriculum in Indonesia. the SEED learning method provide a bilingual education experience that resonates with the local community. The SEED learning method is created diligently to ensure cultural relevenance and uphold the values of place-based learning. Kristi has a B.Sc in Physchology, a 120 hours TEFL certifcate and over 10 years teaching experience at accredited international school, outdoor education programs and private tutoring.
The learning method using SEED has several learning stages, such as in one meeting it will start with circle time where students and teachers will carry out awareness to better understand and respect themselves and the surrounding environment, and continue with a learning center where learning will be carried out according to existing themes, students can choose the learning corner that they are interested in first so that it teaches children to explore their respective interests and talents, then it will be continued with snack time, and closed with story or music time and goodbye circle
We carry out holistic learning evaluations by understanding each child’s development in various aspects. We do not give specific scores for the abilities that children have but rather by explaining the development that children achieve in terms of cognitive, motoric, spiritual, physical, language, and social.
