SPS KEJORA
This is a bilingual, nature-based preschool for children aged 3 to 6 years, currently with 27 students. At this school, children learn fundamental skills and concepts such as language development, social interaction, basic math, creative expression, and physical activities. Additionally, there is a focus on fostering curiosity, promoting independence, and encouraging a positive attitude towards learning. We use the curriculum that applies in Indonesia and we always try to conceptualize learning to build 6 educational foundations based on the Indonesian Ministry of Research and Education which include:
1. Recognizing religious values and character;
2. Social and language skills for interaction;
3. Emotional maturity for activities in the learning environment;
4. Cognitive maturity to carry out learning activities;
5. Development of motor skills and self-care to participate in the learning environment independently;
6. The meaning of learning is something fun and positive
To create a nature-based dual language school, we collaborate with Kristi from SEED Learning Garden. SEED Learning Garden provide learning methods for making a bilingual education experience that resonates with the local community.
SPS Kejora has received legalization from the Indonesian Ministry of Education (421.1/2 of 2024) so that in the future students will be registered in the national system and make it easier for schools to establish relationships with local schools in Karimunjawa.
